The record
Two members of Coltrane's rhythm section land inside Coleman's world on this same April date, Jones driving with unfamiliar force behind the leader's themes. Redman doubles the horn line while Coleman himself picks up violin between statements.

Pressings
All the 1968 copies share BST 84287. The earliest flag lands on a German pressing, but the US 1968 stereo in its Unipak gatefold is the one most buyers are after, and nothing in the data puts one ahead of the other. Blue Note kept the number through a 1972 reissue and a 1975 gatefold with the white b label. Modern choices are a 2014 European 180 gram and a US remastered gatefold, B0021293-01.
