The record
Reuniting with mentor Kenny Dorham fresh off Page One, Henderson leans further into knotty postbop with Andrew Hill's angular comping pushing the frontline into sharper, more exploratory territory. A tight, underrated session from Blue Note's early-'60s run, with Pete La Roca's drumming keeping things loose but alert.

Pressings
The earliest on file is a 1964 US mono, BLP 4152, with a Plastylite ear; the stereo BST-84152 followed the same year, RVG-stamped and eared. Deep-groove copies turn up both two-sided and side-one only, so check both faces. Blue Note repressed into 1985 with DMM remasters. Music Matters cut a numbered 45 RPM gatefold edition, MMBST-84152, in 2010 -- the audiophile pick.
