The record
Andrew Hill's title cut rides a soul-jazz groove while Henderson's tenor keeps the harmony sharp on this funky mid-'60s date. Higgins and Sproles lock down the pocket, leaving Morgan and Mathews room to stretch with bluesy ease.

Pressings
The 1965 US copies are the earliest we list, stereo as 84199 and mono as BLP 4199, both carrying an RVG stamp, Plastylite ear and laminated sleeve. A 1966 stereo repress moves to NY address labels and loses the ear -- the honest cheaper copy, same mastering. After that it is straight reissues; the 2018 European 180 gram ST-84199 still shows the RVG stamp and is the pick of them.
