Barry Harris's crisp comping and Clifford Jordan's tenor frame Morgan on this blues-drenched Jazzland session, cut between two stretches of his Blue Note run. Cranshaw and Hayes hold the pocket steady while the horns trade easy phrases.

The earliest on file is the 1962 US Jazzland mono, JLP 80, with the stereo JLP 980 out the same year; a promo mono and a Japanese JLP-980 also date to 1962. Jazzland repressed both in 1966, the stereo as an MGM pressing. After that: a 1978 Japanese VIJ-5051, the 1987 Original Jazz Classics reissue OJC-310, and a 2021 Jazzland 180g, CR00432.
