The record
Jordan's first date as leader arrives with a sextet built deep, Lee Morgan and Curtis Fuller filling the horns beside John Jenkins' alto. Bryant, Chambers and Taylor supply the lift, and the young tenorman's Rollins-adjacent phrasing already sounds fully formed.
