The record
Two Chicago tenors share the front line, Jordan's burnished tone set against John Gilmore's sharper edges, with Silver, Blakey and Russell driving hard underneath. A rare studio outing for Gilmore away from Sun Ra, and one of Blue Note's better two-horn matchups.
