The record
Recorded in the thick of Shorter's 1964-65 Blue Note run, this sextet date with Hubbard, Spaulding, Tyner, Carter, and Williams sat unreleased for over a decade -- a shame, given the loose, searching swing on display. A missing piece from one of the era's most fertile compositional streaks.

Pressings
We hold no original-era LP for this title -- nothing on file predates 1979. That year brought the US LT-988, the UK LBR 1021 (the earliest we list), a Japanese GXF 3054 and a South African BNTJ(M) 1021, and the Japanese GXK 8152 followed in 1980. Most of them carry an RVG stamp. The serious modern option is Music Matters' 45 rpm gatefold MM-LT-988 from 2011.
