The record
Cut live at Manne's own Hollywood club just after it opened, this quintet swings with the loose confidence of a band on home turf. Kamuca and Candoli trade sharp, blues-rooted lines over Freeman's crisp comping while Manne drives from the kit with the taste that made him a West Coast fixture.
