The record
A stark trio session made notable by ten-year-old Denardo behind the kit, Coleman and Haden folding raw, unschooled time into their free-jazz language rather than around it. Coleman doubles on trumpet and violin here, pushing the harmolodic conversation further from convention than even his Atlantic dates dared.

Pressings
The earliest copies on file are all 1966 US Blue Note: a stereo BST 84246 with NY USA labels, a mono BLP 4246 on a New York label, and an All Disc mono repress carrying an RVG stamp. Spain followed with a mono HBN 451-04 in 1967. Blue Note repressed BST 84246 into 1975, and Japan's GXK 8149 came in 1980. The 2020 Endless Happiness copy is an unofficial release.
