Recorded the same month as Grant Green's own session, this date finds Morgan pushing past his groove-heavy hits into moodier, modal ground alongside Shorter and Hancock. Spacious and searching, it's a young star reaching for something quieter.

The earliest on file is a 1966 US stereo BST 84169 with an RVG stamp and a Plastylite ear; the mono BLP 4169 is the same year and also RVG-stamped. Liberty-era stereo repressings of BST 84169 arrived that same year, so read the label carefully. Music Matters cut it twice, a 2009 45 RPM MMBST-84169 and a 2016 gatefold of the same number, and a 2024 Blue Note 5831994 carries a Kevin Gray remaster.
