Willette's organ pulls churchy weight on this trio date, cut just as Blue Note signed him, guitar lines clean and patient throughout. Dixon's drums nod toward the label's coming run of organ-combo sessions.

Pressings

The earliest on file is the 1961 US mono, BLP 4064 -- deep groove, RVG stamp, 63rd Street address, Plastylite ear. A second 1961 mono shows deep groove on side two only and the 47 West 63rd address. No stereo appears until 1966, as BST 84064, so early stereo is not on the table. Japan's GXK-8221 from 1981 is the clean reissue; several recent European pressings are marked unofficial releases.
