The record
Alto saxophone and flute, both from Ken McIntyre, set against John Mancebo Lewis's trombone -- a tart, unorthodox front line. Dizzy Sal's piano, Paul Morrison's bass and Bobby Ward's drums hold the ground under blunt little titles like 'Cornballs', 'Smax' and 'Mellifluous' before the closing 'I'll Close My Eyes'. New Jazz put it out in 1961, with notes by Joe Goldberg.
