The record
McLean's alto and Mal Waldron's piano are the constant, with Hank Mobley's tenor and Donald Byrd's trumpet filling out the front line and Doug Watkins and Art Taylor in the rhythm section. Six tunes, 'Confirmation' among them, plus ballads in 'When I Fall In Love' and 'Why Was I Born?' Ira Gitler wrote the notes. Prestige LP 7048, mono, 1956.
