The record
Horace Silver is the surprise in the piano chair -- hard and percussive under Milt Jackson's vibraphone, a rougher blend than a vibes quartet usually gives you. Percy Heath and Connie Kay keep the ground light. Ballads dominate the program, "My Funny Valentine," "The Nearness Of You," "I Should Care." Prestige 7003, cut early in the 7000 run, Rudy Van Gelder engineering.
