The record

Cut in '72 for CTI (here on a King Records pressing), this is peak Creed Taylor crossover -- Hubbard's brass floats over a dense, electric-acoustic bed with Jarrett's Fender Rhodes, Benson's guitar, and Cobham's crackling drums. "Povo" and the title cut show how far post-bop could stretch into groove without losing its jazz spine.

Pressings

This is a CTI record. The earliest on file is the 1972 US CTI 6018, stereo, RVG-stamped in a laminated gatefold; US copies split across Santa Maria, Terre Haute and Pitman plants, all from that year, so plant stamps are what you compare. The UK CTL 11 from 1973 is gatefold and laminated too. Japan's GP-3097 in 1977 and K20P-6836 in 1982 are the clean later options.

Showing the first pressing, audiophile reissues and copies carrying a collector marker, out of 41 pressings on file.
