A 1970 date finding the drummer leading a two-tenor front line through Blue Note's twilight years, with Candido's congas thickening the groove into something more polyrhythmic and open-ended. Coleman and Foster trade lines with hard-bop grit while Jones drives from behind the kit, never merely keeping time.
