Cut the same month Kelly was moonlighting on "Kind of Blue," this date lets his bright, bluesy touch lead rather than accompany, with Nat Adderley and Benny Golson adding warm horn color across the title track's easy 12-bar swing.

The earliest on file here is the 1959 US Riverside mono, RLP 12-298, with the stereo RLP 1142 listed the same year; a 1960 stereo carries a deep groove and a 1963 mono is explicitly noted without one. Riverside moved the stereo to RS 1142 by 1971, and Original Jazz Classics reissued it as OJC-033. Analogue Productions has cut it twice at 45 RPM -- AJAZ 1142 in 2005, APJ 210-45 in 2026.
