The record
Woody Shaw's trumpet and Tyrone Washington's tenor flank James Spaulding, who doubles alto and flute -- a front line with real teeth. Horace Silver takes the composing credit along with the piano chair, Larry Ridley and Roger Humphries dig in behind him, and Alfred Lion produced for Blue Note in 1967, BLP 4250. 'Mexican Hip Dance' and 'Grease Piece' are the ones that stick.

Everything on file here is Blue Note BST 84250 in stereo, gatefold, with an RVG stamp. The earliest we list is a 1967 US copy, and a Keel pressing from the same year sits alongside it.
