The record
Priester's trombone and Heath's tenor give this sextet a fuller, brassier bottom than the usual Blue Note quintet. Cedar Walton comps sharp behind Hubbard, whose tone already carries the confidence of a young leader finding his lane.

Pressings
The earliest on file is a 1961 mono, Blue Note BLP 4073, with an RVG stamp, the 47 West 63rd address, a Plastylite ear and a laminated sleeve. Later monos keep the number and the ear: a 1963 copy in the W63 to New York transition with a deep groove, a 1964 with New York labels both sides, a 1966 reissue. No original-era stereo is listed. For a modern cut, Analogue Productions did AP-84073 at 45 RPM in 2010.
