A hard-bop date cut for Prestige with Jimmy Heath's tenor pushing against the trumpeter's bright, Midwestern-toned lines, Barry Harris and George Tucker keeping the changes honest underneath. A lesser-known session, but a fine snapshot of mid-'60s bop discipline just before Jones's move overseas.
