The record
Recorded live and riding the same crossover wave that made Forest Flower a fixture on college turntables and rock bills alike, this quartet -- with a young Jarrett already reshaping the piano's role -- brings modal freedom to a set built for the flower-child crowd. DeJohnette and McClure keep the pulse loose and searching, proof this band could fill a room without ever playing it safe.

Mono and stereo both landed in 1967: the US mono is catalogued 1481, the stereo SD 1481, and both circulate from Presswell, Monarch and Terre Haute plants. The mono is the earliest we list. UK copies run 587077 mono and 588077 stereo. Of the reissues, Pure Pleasure's 2018 180g stereo, PPAN SD 11481, is the serious one; the 2002 4 Men With Beards 4M119 is the cheaper route.
