The record
Tadd Dameron leads from the piano and John Coltrane is the only horn in the credits, with John Simmons on bass and "Philly" Joe Jones on drums. We hold no original-era pressing for this title -- nothing on file predates 1963, and every listing from that year on is marked a reissue. The 1963 and 1964 US Prestige PR 7247 copies, mono and stereo, are the earliest available, followed by a 1970 PR 7745. Original Jazz Classics reissued it as OJC-212 in 1986 and again in 2015 in mono, and Prestige revived the original number as P-7070 in 1992.
