A December '54 date that paired that voice with a small-group swing rarely afforded her, Clifford Brown's trumpet trading warmth with Paul Quinichette's Basie-schooled tenor. Effortless phrasing over airtight rhythm from Jones, Benjamin, and Haynes -- one of the era's finest vocal-jazz meetings.

The album proper is EmArcy MG-36004, and 1955 US mono copies are the earliest we list on that number; the 1958 mono repressings add a deep groove. France took MLP 7100 in 1955 and the Netherlands pressed MG-36004 in 1957. Speakers Corner remastered it at 180 gram in 2004, and EmArcy's own gatefold reissue, B0032413-01, arrived in 2021. Ignore the Philips and Forum Circle entries -- those are repackages.
