The record
A reunion of Detroit expatriates cutting through New York in 1960, with Adams' baritone set against Byrd's brass and Burrell's guitar for a session thick with Motor City pedigree. Chambers, Flanagan, and Hayes round out a rhythm section that plays like old friends catching up.

The earliest on file is the 1961 US Bethlehem BCP 6056. After that the reissue history is largely Japanese -- 22AP 128 in mono from 1976, YP-7117-BE in stereo from 1984, COJY-9124 in 1993. Bethlehem itself went back to BCP 6056 for a remastered 180 gram mono in 2013, and issued 538624981 on 180 gram in 2022. Either modern Bethlehem is the sane listening copy.
