Two sessions stitched together: one side pulls the film score cut fast with French rhythm players, the other catches the working sextet with Coltrane and Cannonball stretching out. A odd but telling bridge between soundtrack work and the Milestones-era band.

Mono the whole way -- our data carries no stereo pressing of this title at all. The earliest on file is the 1959 US Columbia CL 1268, which also shows up as a Terre Haute promo, with Pitman copies following in 1962. Europe took it on Fontana as 681 550 TL and Japan as Columbia YL-159 in a laminated sleeve. The only modern pressing worth naming is the 2013 Record Store Day CL 1268, numbered mono on 180 gram; no audiophile-label cut appears in our data.
