The record
Barely out of his teens and already fearless, Morgan pairs against Pepper Adams' husky baritone for a frontline blend the label rarely tried. Timmons and the Chambers/Jones rhythm section burn hot from the first bar to the last.

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1958 US mono, BLP 1578 -- deep groove, RVG stamp, 47 West 63rd address, Plastylite ear, laminated sleeve, the full early checklist. Stereo does not appear until 1968, as BST 81578, so any stereo copy is a later cut. The 2006 mono 200 gram reissue reuses BLP 1578 and reproduces the deep groove and flat edge; Japan's GXK 8132 from 1979 is the cheap route.
