The record
Tuba and horn thicken the bottom end on this Riverside session, Heath's own charts giving Donald Byrd's trumpet room to cut through the low brass. Percy and Albert Heath hold the rhythm section down while Herbie Hancock adds a modern edge on piano.

Pressings
We hold only two Riverside pressings of this title, both from 1963: mono RM 465, listed with a deep groove, and stereo RS 9465, which is the earliest row on file here. Our data carries no reissue of any kind -- no OJC, no Japanese pressing, no modern cut -- so a 1963 Riverside is what you are looking for either way. Between the two, the deep-groove mono is the copy that carries collector interest.
