Freddie Roach's organ sets the floor and Ike Quebec plays into it with a huge, breathy tone, so 'The Man I Love' and 'Nature Boy' come out slow and thick rather than pretty. Pressings
The earliest pressing on file here is the 1962 mono BLP 4093, with an RVG stamp, a Plastylite ear on side one and a laminated sleeve. The stereo BST 84093 is listed the same year, also RVG-stamped, so both mixes are available from 1962. The 1966 and 1967 BST 84093 repressings are the easier route in; for a new copy, Blue Note's 2023 180g reissue, 5523396.
