The record
A rare heavyweight session from the Lighthouse stable, stacking four trombones and three trumpets behind Bob Cooper's tenor for a West Coast big-band sound thicker than the usual combo dates from that Hermosa Beach crew. Victor Feldman and Stan Levey keep the swing lean under all that brass, proof Rumsey's book could stretch well past the standard sextet format.
