The record
Lee Morgan is a co-leader in everything but the credits, taking as much room across The Dip and Recado Bossa Nova as Mobley's tenor does. Harold Mabern comps hard behind both of them, and Larry Ridley with Billy Higgins keeps the thing springy rather than heavy. Blue Note 4209 from 1965, produced by Alfred Lion, notes by Ira Gitler, lacquer cut by Rudy Van Gelder.

Pressings
The 1966 US copies are the earliest we list: mono as 4209 and stereo as 84209, both with an RVG stamp and a Plastylite ear, the stereo also in a laminated sleeve. A 1966 stereo reissue of 84209 carries the stamp and laminated sleeve and asks far less. Analogue Productions cut AP-84209 at 45 RPM in 2011, and Japan pressed a limited mono, DBLP-030, in 2012.
