The record
A late-'70s date from alto man Frank Strozier, reuniting him with fellow Memphis expat Harold Mabern in a horn-rich sextet colored by Howard Johnson's tuba and Danny Moore's flugelhorn. Inner City's reissue arm caught Strozier in reflective form, his bebop-sharp lines softened into something more spacious and lyrical.
