The record
A trombone-led date built on top-shelf New York session muscle -- Hank Jones and Barry Galbraith laying easy, swinging foundations under Bert's fluid horn and Davey Schildkraut's alto-bright tenor lines. Late-'50s hard bop with an unfussy, working-band feel, more concerned with groove than flash.
