The record
Walton's crisp comping and Higgins' easy swing anchor this late-'60s date, Mobley and Sonny Red trading choruses in a well-drilled two-horn frontline. It's Blue Note's mid-decade house style just before Byrd turned toward funkier ground.

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1967 US Blue Note mono, BLP 4259. Three 1967 stereo BST 84259 pressings sit alongside it, two of them RVG-stamped and one a Keel pressing, so the stereo side rewards a look at the dead wax. An Italian 1967 copy and undated German BST 84259 K pressings fill out the era. US reissues run 1970 to 2007, and the 2025 Tone Poet edition is the modern one to want.
