The record
Cut between his trio breakthrough and the founding of Circle, this session pairs Holland and Vitous on bass under Braxton's clarinet and alto, with Haynes and Altschul splitting drum duties. The free-leaning density points straight at the collective language Corea would soon codify.

Everything on file is 1975 or later, and nearly all of it is Blue Note's BN-LA472-H2 in one form or another: a plain US copy, a stereo copy, a Terre Haute pressing, an advance press and a gatefold. Germany used BST 84555 XCT the same year, Greece and South Africa kept the US number, and Japan's United Artists gatefold GSW-3019~20 followed in 1976. No earlier pressing and no audiophile line are listed here.
