The record
A sextet with two bassists churns through thick, ecstatic textures, Lyons and Dixon trading lines over Cyrille's restless drums. Taped the same week as its companion Blue Note session, it stands among the boldest statements on the label's roster that year.

Pressings
The earliest pressings we list are both 1968 US Blue Notes -- mono BLP 4260 and stereo BST 84260 -- and the mono is the one collectors chase. The stereo was repressed in the US repeatedly between 1970 and 1977; two undated blue-label copies carry a Van Gelder stamp. Beyond that it is reissue territory: Japan's GXK-8148 in 1980, BNJ 71049 in 1984, a 2015 European 180g, and a 2014 US mono, BST 4260.
