A ten-inch from 1954, with George Duvivier on bass and Art Taylor on drums, and the piece to hear first is 'Glass Enclosure' -- compact, tightly wound, sitting in the middle of an otherwise standards-and-blues program. 'Reets And I' and 'Collard Greens And Black-Eye Peas' bite hard. Leonard Feather wrote the notes, John Hermansader designed the cover. Blue Note BLP 5041.
