The record
Sharp, brass-heavy charts from a writer better known for his pen than his horn, with Rosolino and the Candoli-Leddy trumpet tandem digging into Holman's angular arrangements. Guaraldi's presence on piano is a nice pre-Peanuts footnote to a session built on tight ensemble writing over solo sprawl.
