The record

Four drummers -- Blakey, Art Taylor, Jo Jones and Specs Wright, the last two doubling on timpani -- plus two conga players and Evilio Quintero on cencerro, maracas and tree log. Ray Bryant's piano and Wendell Marshall's bass supply what harmony there is, and Herbie Mann's flute is the only horn on the date. Four tracks, Blue Note BLP 1555.
