The record
Mulligan's baritone slots in easily beside Brubeck's blocky chords, a partnership that recalls his old pianoless quartet with Chet Baker but here rides Jack Six and Alan Dawson's swing. A festival-closing set that catches the group loose and conversational, well past the "Take Five" fame that made them a headline act.
