The record
Brazilian rhythms reach Columbia's studio just as the bossa fad crests nationwide, with Morello and Wright adapting the new groove to their own ends. Desmond floats above it all, unbothered by the change of address.

Pressings
Columbia issued it in 1963, mono as CL 1998 and stereo as CS 8798, and the earliest we list is a Pitman-pressed mono. Both numbers turn up from Pitman, Terre Haute, Bridgeport and Hollywood, so there is plenty to choose from and no reason to pay up for a particular plant. Britain used CBS BPG 62127 for mono and SBPG 62127 for stereo. The 1972 Japanese CBS/Sony, SOPL 103, is the tidiest later pressing.
