The record
Vibraphone's coolest voice set against a full horn section, Bags stretching out with the loose swing that made his quartet work with MJQ feel almost restrained by comparison. A rare big-band outing for the vibraphonist, stacked with Basie-honed brass and reed players and a rotating rhythm section that keeps the whole thing swinging hard.
