The record
Montreux caught McCann's electric piano locking with Eddie Harris's varitone tenor for a set that turned 'Compared to What' into a crossover anthem. Vinnegar and Dean hold the groove loose underneath, proof jazz could fill a festival tent and the charts together.

Pressings
The earliest on file is a 1969 US Atlantic SD 1537 in stereo from Presswell, but the same year covers Terre Haute, Monarch and Specialty pressings of that number, plus a mono promo listed simply as 1537. The UK issue is 588 206. Later US copies keep SD 1537 through 1976, so read the plant code rather than the catalog. Rhino's R1 1537 came in 2010, and a numbered 45 RPM gatefold remaster followed in 2025.
