The record
Recorded the same July sessions as its SteepleChase companion, this Inner City release finds Gordon's broad tenor tone and McLean's leaner alto lines sharing the frontline over Denmark's house rhythm section. Bebop's two branches, one rooted in Prez, the other in Bird, meet here as equals rather than rivals.
