Three violinists sit in the credits alongside the rhythm section, and Dave Blume did the arranging, which is why 'I Am A Walrus' and 'Pet Sounds' arrive sweetened rather than jammed out. Freddie McCoy's vibes stay dead center, Joanne Brackeen doubles piano and organ, Wally Richardson plays guitar. 'Mysterioso' is the surprise in the running order. Prestige, 1968.
