The record
Cut soon after his Blue Note years, this Atlantic session leans into greasy, groove-heavy territory, Barretto's percussion and Spaulding's alto and flute giving it a Latin-tinged kick. Dailey and the rhythm section keep things loose and funky throughout.

Pressings
The earliest on file is a 1967 US Atlantic stereo, SD 1477, in a gatefold; the mono, catalogued simply 1477, dates from the same year and includes a Monarch pressing. Atlantic kept SD 1477 in print through 1977, then renumbered it 90466-1-Y in 1985. Speakers Corner's 2017 reissue, again SD 1477, is the audiophile cut -- remastered, 180g, gatefold.
