The record
A wordless choir threads through hard-bop changes here, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson's arrangements giving 'Cristo Redentor' an unexpected gospel hush. Mobley, Burrell, and a young Hancock keep the session's feet on the ground even as the voices rise.

Pressings
Deep detail here. The earliest on file is a 1964 US stereo listed as 84124, with RVG stamp, Plastylite ear and laminated sleeve. The 1964 mono BLP 4124 and stereo BST 84124 both turn up with deep grooves on both sides and then on one side only, and by 1965 the stereo shows a deep groove on side one alone -- that sequence is what to check. Liberty pressings arrive in 1966. The 2015 B0022592-01 is the modern option.
Showing the first pressing, audiophile reissues and copies carrying a collector marker, out of 65 pressings on file.
