The record
This 1957 Blue Note leader date sets Fuller's trombone against Mobley's tenor for warmth and heft, with Timmons and the Chambers-Taylor rhythm section keeping things loose. It's the session where Fuller steps forward as a voice on the instrument in his own right.

Pressings
The earliest pressing on file here is the 1957 US mono BLP 1567, with an RVG stamp and a Plastylite ear -- the two things that separate it from the 1972 US reissue, which drops to a bare 1567. Japan's 1984 mono, again numbered BLP 1567, keeps the RVG stamp and is the value copy; a 1983 Japanese K18P-9209 sits alongside it. Music Matters cut a 45 RPM mono in 2010 as MMBLP-1567, and Blue Note's 2014 remaster is current.
