The record
Golson's compositional smarts meet Bill Evans' harmonic touch here, Farmer's lyrical horn floating over the two while twin brother Addison anchors the bottom end. Hard bop bending toward chamber-like intimacy, cut for Liberty in September of '58.

The earliest on file is the 1958 US United Artists mono, UAL-4007, with a deep groove; the stereo UAS 5007 is listed the same year. UK London copies follow, LTZ-T 15167 in mono from 1959 and SAH-T 6028 in stereo from 1960. Japan reissued this repeatedly, from YS-751-UAJ in 1968 to LAX 3111 in 1976. Jazz Images' 2019 gatefold, 37114, is the easy modern copy.
