The record
Detroit meets the trumpet summit here, Barry Harris and Doug Watkins laying down a springy foundation while Byrd and the leader spar chorus for chorus. McLean adds bite from the alto chair, cut in early August of '56.

Pressings
The earliest pressing on file here is the 1956 US Prestige, PRLP 7062, mono with a deep groove. Esquire's UK 32-072 came the same year and is the copy our data shows with an RVG stamp. Prestige repressed PRLP 7062 in 1959, still deep groove. Japan got LPR-88005 in 1973 and VIJ-5041M in 1977, both mono. OJC-018 from 1982 is the easy modern copy.
