The record

By decade's end the formula had settled into lush, easy-listening arrangements aimed at pop radio, this session trading jazz-club grit for polished crossover appeal.

Contemporary reception

No period review located yet. The vintage-press pipeline searches DownBeat, Cash Box, and Billboard for this session.

Pressings

The earliest pressing on file here is a 1969 US A&M SP-4197 from the Pitman plant, and 1969 is where nearly everything sits: Terre Haute, Santa Maria and Monarch variants of the same number, plus a UK AMLS 948, a German 212 070, a Japanese gatefold AML 36 and a Brazilian mono. The plant stamp is the only thing separating the American copies. Beyond that there is only a Pickwick reissue as SPC-3736.
